MWA celebrates National Drinking Water Week

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Water Authority honors National Drinking Water Week with events to help the community get active and learn more about this year’s theme: What do you know about H2O?

According to the organization’s website, during national Drinking Water Week – which is being recognized May 3-9 this year – the Macon Water Authority has a few public events on tap at the Frank C. Amerson, Jr. Water Treatment Plant to bring the utility and community together to recognize the vital role drinking water plays in everyday life.

The organization is inviting the community to participate in an open house event and 5K run.

The annual Amerson Plant Open House on Thursday, May 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
