Homeless population to receive ‘Second Chance’
Katie Jones, founder of Second Chances, says after her struggle and victorious battle with cancer, she wants others to experience another at life.
Jones partnered with the Loaves and Fishes Ministries in Macon, and plans to donate more than 100 "survival bags" to the organization for it to pass out to those who are less fortunate.
Day Services Coordinator of Loaves and Fishes, Judy Sexton believes without organization like Second Chance, it would be difficult to provide for the homeless each day.
Jones and Sexton talk with 41NBC’s Taylor Terrell about raising awareness, and providing for those in need.
If you’d like to help donate, Jones plans to set up a donation table at the Kroger on 5928 Zebulon Road. You can drop off toiletries, winter items and canned goods starting at 2:00 p.m.
