MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Monday kicks off the first full week of school for students in Bibb County. Helping Hands Community Outreach is hosting a Back to School Blast with several local organizations and businesses to help students get ready for the new year. Clarence Thomas stopped by 41 Today to tell us all about it.

During the Back to School Blast, families can get free school supplies, clothing, and health screenings. There will also be free nutritional seminars.

Helping Hands Community Outreach is working with the Frank Johnson Community Center, Spirit of Ruth Women’s Outreach Ministries, Saving Out Sisters Network of Middle Georgia, and C.H.O.I.C.E. (Cultivating Healthier Options in Communities Everywhere) to put on the event.
