41NBC and American Red Cross partner for holiday blood drives

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – During the holiday season, the demand for blood donors actually goes up.

That’s why 41NBC and the American Red Cross are partnering again for holiday blood drives, especially with so many people out on the roadways.

“Remember there’s traveling, so that need actually starts to go up as you’ve got more accidents going on,” Brian Fern, Donor Recruitment Representative said. “And more traveling is going to cause more accidents so the need often times increases slightly.”

Fern stopped by the 41NBC studio to talk about the importance of donating. He said donating one pint could save three lives.

Here are the 41NBC sponsored blood drives you can attend this holiday season in Middle Georgia.
