41Today: Rotimi talks TV and music

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – Singer and actor Rotimi, from the STARZ series Power, paid a visit to 41Today to talk TV, music and what’s next.

The New Jersey native of Nigerian descent says from the age of four he has enjoyed music, singing at weddings, church services, talent shows, children’s choirs, and even at the Apollo Theatre. While he is best known for his acting role on the STARZ series Power, Rotimi says his talents stretch far beyond his on screen character.

Rotimi says his music infuses contemporary R&B with traditional Afrobeat and dancehall.

He shared his passion and how he landed on the Power with 41NBC’s Shelby Coates and Power 107.1’s Lil G.
