5K Love Run to Benefit Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis
MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The first annual 5K Love Run is coming to Milledgeville next month.
The run organizer Ann Jordan is hosting the event in honor of her late husband, Tom Jordan. Tom was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in July 2007 and lost his battle on May 29, 2012.
Ann hopes to raise $5,000 for the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis to support its mission in finding a cure for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
She invites all walkers and runners to participate in the 1 mile or 5K on February 15 at Northridge Christian Church. The run starts at 10 a.m.
The fee for adults is $20 and children under 12 are $12. Raffle prizes will also be available the day of the run.
