A Sister’s Story: Tragedy inspires self-defense organization

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A middle Georgia woman wants to help women feel safe even when they’re alone. 

Paige Slocumb’s sister died after a man beat and raped her on a walking trail in Atlanta. 

This incident inspired Slocumb to start Safe Alone, Inc., an organization which trains women in groups to learn self-defense and safety techniques in case of emergency. 

Slocumb shares her sisters story with 41NBC’s Taylor Terrell, and demonstrates a technique.
