Atlanta Falcons BirdLady collecting shoes for holiday charities

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Atlanta Falcons BirdLady is doing more than encouraging her favorite NFL team this year.

She’s partnered with local organizations for a range of holiday charities. Carolyn “BirdLady” Freeman stopped by the 41NBC studio to talk about her shoe drive.

BirdLady Cares Inc. will be collecting all kinds of shoes through January. The shoes will go to Haiti and also contribute to providing toys for more than 2,000 children this Christmas.

She is also raising funds for scholarships for children seeking higher education.

There are multiple locations to drop off shoes, including Union Hill Baptist Church in Forsyth and at the 41NBC station in Macon.
