Blood drive held in memory of Houston County man

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Warner Robins church is holding a blood drive in memory of one of its own. Mary Ealer stopped by 41 Today to tell us more about the drive and how you can save a life.

Ealer’s husband, George, used to appear 41NBC to promote blood drives in the community. He passed away last August after an aortic dissection.

Ealer said her husband has helped save lives and she is now calling on the community to step up by donating blood.

Christ United Methodist Church is hosting the blood drive to benefit the American Red Cross. It is happening Monday, August 4th at the church located at 511 Russell Parkway in Warner Robins.

The blood drive is from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

You can call (478) 922-0211 to make an advance reservation.
