Bookin’ It 5K & Fun Run Supports Childhood Literacy

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – This weekend you can lace up your sneakers and run to support the Junior League of Macon. Terese McGee joined us on 41 Today with all the details of this year’s Bookin’ It 5K & Fun Run.

The third annual Bookin’ It 5K is on Saturday, February 22 at Stone Edge Church located at 5653 Zebulon Road. It is a family friendly event that features a 5K race course for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. There will also be a Bookworm Jog for children 12 and under. Strollers are welcome on the 5K race course.

Registration costs for the 5K is $25, the Bookworm Jog is $15, and a Silent Reader for those who support the cause but are unable to attend the race is $20.

The race supports the Junior League of Macon’s fight for literacy.
