Cedric Sickle Cell Support Group opens new office
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A local organization is welcoming you to its new office in downtown Macon.
The Cedric Sickle Cell Support Group hopes to serve nearly 300 people in Bibb County who have the disease.
It’s a disease that can affect your organs and bones as well as weaken your immune system.
Vanessa Harvey, founder and executive director of the group, joins 41NBC to talk about it.
She named it after her son Cedric.
If you want to go to the open house, it’s tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the new office, 152 New Street in downtown Macon.
