Central Georgia CARES celebrates AC Pup’s seventh birthday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The non-profit Central Georgia CARES is celebrating their mascot, AC Pup’s seventh birthday Saturday, February 27, 2016.

Central Georgia CARES works to improve the welfare of animals and the people that love them. Chairman of Central Georgia CARES, Pattie Jones, and AC Pup’s dad, Van Vandewalker, stopped by 41NBC to talk about what to expect.  AC Pup has been the mascot for CARES and crusader for animals everywhere since he was a puppy.

The event is free and will be held at the Georgia Industrial Children’s Home from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Donations of dog food will be collected at the party.
