Chainsaw carvers from across nation meeting in Gray for fun and charity

GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – World-class chainsaw carvers are meeting in Gray to fight cystic fibrosis, and have some fun.

The Chaptacular Chainsaw Carving Bash is a fun spectacle for the family, with proceeds going to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Event organizers Chap and Stelling Nelson stopped by the 41NBC studio to talk about it. They say there’s going to be auctions and food trucks.

Stelling’s son was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, so this event is personal. But it’s also a chance to get together with people who share the same hobby of chainsaw carving.

Chaptacular is Nov. 11 and 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 541 Hungerford Rd. in Gray, Ga.
