Consignment sale by moms gives back to community

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon’s largest consignment sale is going on this weekend. Christie Johnson from Macon MOPS stopped by 41 Today to tell us more about it.

Macon MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. During the consignment sale you will find fall and winter clothing, toys, furniture, strollers, high chairs, maternity clothing, and much more.

Johnson said all the proceeds will go back into the community. In the past, the group has donated to the Ronald McDonald House, the DOVE Center, Jabbock Ministries in Forsyth, and others.

The sale is Friday, August 22 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, August 23 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Clothes purchased on Saturday will be half off. The sale is happening at the Hephzibah Children’s Home located at 6601 Zebulon Road.
