Crimestoppers Relies on Community Tips

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Law enforcement agencies rely on tips to catch the bad guys. Deputy Chris Paul from Macon Regional Crimestoppers stopped by 41 Today to tell us who to be on the look out for this morning.

Paul said law enforcement agencies rely on the eyes and ears of the community to catch suspects. He said if you spot a suspect in the community, then you can call Crimestoppers 1-877-68-CRIME to leave an anonymous tip. If your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a reward.

If you do spot a suspect in the community, Paul said you should not approach him or her. Instead, get as much information as you can, such as hair color, height, location, what direction he or she is heading, if he or she got into a car, and call Crimestoppers with that information.

The Crimestoppers number is 1-877-68-CRIME.
