Deadline to Sign Up for Healthcare Looming

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The clock is ticking! The deadline to sign up for health care under the Affordable Care Act is Monday, March 31^st at midnight. Katherine McLeod from First Choice Primary Care stopped by 41 Today to share important information for those who are waiting until the last minute to get coverage.

McLeod said there is an extension for those who start the enrollment process on the last day, but it is not clear how far through the process you have to get. She added you need an email address to start the sign up process.

If you fail to get insurance by the deadline, then you could face a tax penalty.
