First ‘Macon the Stage’ expo to showcase homegrown, unknown talent
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A local charity is tapping into homegrown, unknown talent and showcasing some of Middle Georgia’s best artists during a three day event. Dr. Shelton Land of Land Mindz Inc. stopped by 41 Today to talk about “Macon the Stage.”
The expo is tailored to engage the community through the arts and increase opportunities for local artists in the area. There will be informative and educational workshops for youth and adults.
A formal reception on June 6th will kick off the event. There will also be a competition that will showcase established and aspiring artistic professionals.
The event will also serve as a fundraiser for the Macon-Bibb County Department of Parks and Recreation Cultural Arts program.
There is a nominal fee to attend the workshops and activities.
The three day is expo is June 6 – 8 at Shadows Interactive Dinner Theatre located at 438 Second Street.
