Fraternity to host Mardi Gras party with a purpose

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – Even though Lent has officially begun, The Lambda Phi Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity is celebrating Mardi Gras once again with a party this weekend.

The fraternity is encouraging guests to dress in all black, but they can wear traditional Mardi Gras masks and beads will be given out at the event. The money raised from the party goes to the fraternity’s scholarship fund, which goes to high school seniors in Middle Georgia.

The Mardi Gras Black is Exquesite Party is Saturday, March 14th from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday at the Anderson Conference Center in Macon. Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door, and V.I.P tickets are $70.
