FVSU to host annual fundraiser for football program

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Fort Valley State University is hosting an annual football operation fundraiser, and committee members want you to participate. 

The 6th annual Lomax-Porter Golf Tournament Fundraiser is a chance for the university to help student athletes network with key sponsors, supporters and golfers, all while raising money to support expenses for equipment, operational costs and scholarships for future football players. 

The event takes place Saturday, June 6 at the Cherokee Pine Golf and Fitness Club located on 1000 North Davis Drive in Perry. 

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. Shot gun starts at 9:00 a.m. Tickets are $75 per player, or $300 per team. Golf hole sponsor are $250.
