FVSU to Host Day at the Capitol

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Fort Valley State University is getting ready to paint Atlanta
with its school colors. The university is highlighting the best the campus has to offer during FVSU’s Day at the Capitol.

FVSU Foundation director Kristie Kenney said the event will take place on Wednesday, February 12 at 8 a.m. in the James H. Floyd Twin Towers Building in Atlanta.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m., congressional leaders will present an invite resolution to university president Dr. Ivelaw Lloyd Griffith.

According to Kenney, the event will highlight the STEM programs, along with the university’s new honors and undergraduate research programs.

The event is open to the public; however individuals are required to RSVP by February 7. For more information, call (478) 825-6474.
