Georgia Aquarium Celebrates Holidays with ‘Festival of SEAsons’

ATLANTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — With the holidays around the corner, the Georgia Aquarium wants to celebrate with the “Festival of SEAsons.” Georgia Aquarium’s Public Relations Specialist, Bailey Rogers stopped by 41 Today with all the details on the aquarium’s holiday extravaganza.

The “Festival of SEAsons” introduces “FanstaSEA in Lights” this year as a one-of-a-kind indoor light show inside the grand atrium. In addition, to enjoying lights and holiday music there’s also a brand new event that allows guests to “Wake Up Santa.”

The newest exhibit at the aquarium is called the Aquatic Bodies: Sea Monsters Revealed. It features the world’s largest display of plastinated sea creatures.

Rogers is also excited to announce this year’s newest encounter – a behind-the-scenes interaction with an aquarium penguin. The 30 minute experience allows guests to learn more about the species while being able to touch and engage with the animal.
