Green Tomato Festival celebrating 25th anniversary of famous movie

JULIETTE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Some residents in Juliette say the movie, “Fried Green Tomatoes” put them on the map.

That’s why the film is being celebrated for the 13th time this weekend.

The Green Tomato Festival in downtown Juliette plans on having more than 50 vendors. It’ll also have music, games and activities for kids. The Whistle Stop Cafe, which was featured in the movie, will be open for festival goers.

The festival goes Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m in downtown Juliette. Admission is free!
