Help 41NBC Give Back to the Community During the Holidays

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – In honor of the holidays, 41NBC is celebrating by giving back to the community. 41NBC’s Promotions Manager Ryan Pope stopped by 41 Today to tell us about the 41 Days of Christmas, plus all the great things we like to do during the holiday season and how you can help.

Coats for Kids is a coat drive. With the help of generous donors of coats and a team of selfless “angel” partner cleaners, hundreds of coats are donated to needy children and adults. Coats are collected at sponsor locations and distributed by DFACS in Bibb County and the Salvation Army in Warner Robins, Dublin and Milledgeville.

During our Holidays Miracles, 41NBC wants to make some wishes come true. There are so many struggling families in the world, and right here in our community. This time of the year often makes it more difficult than ever. It is time to do our part and help those less fortunate this holiday season.

41NBC is once again teaming up with Toys for Tots and the Marine Corps Reserve in Middle Georgia for the annual Toys For Tots campaign. We’re asking you to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to the effort. We’re an official drop-off point. Just stop by 41NBC’s downtown Macon studio located at 301 Poplar Street, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm.

41NBC is also working with the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity for Light More Homes. It is a Christmas celebration with a mission to raise funds to help families in need have decent, affordable places to live.
