Junior Leadership Corps teaching middle school students discipline

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two schools in Bibb County have begun a JROTC program for middle schools. It’s called the Junior Leadership Corps (JLC).

First Sgt. Alvin Thomas has more than 150 students in his JLC at Rutland Middle School. He teaches them discipline and respect, even flag etiquette.

He says teaching his students to respect the flag is very important.

Ballard Hudson Middle School is the other school in the county with a JLC program.
