Keeping Organized: Making your life easier
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Being well organized isn’t always about having the neatest pantry, or the cleanest closet. Being well organized is sometimes about making your life just a bit easier. Personal organizer Andi Willis is back to give you a few tips on how you can make your day-to-day life a little more simpler.
For those of you who love your boots, it can be a pain to keep them from falling over when not in use. You can go out and buy a $20 insert to keep them straight, but why throw away the cash? Andi suggests you simply buy a styrofoam pool noodle and cut it up with a pair of scissors. It’ll help prevent your boots from becoming damaged at the fraction of the cost.
A second tip involves your keys. Fumbling about your inordinate amount of jangling keys in hopes of quickly finding the correct one can be a frustrating experience. Color coding them with variant colors of nail polish can make them stand out. For example, you can use green for your mother’s house, red for the office, and blue for your house. Whatever works best for you!
The final tip concerns your linen closet. It can be a relative hassle trying to find the pillowcase that matches with the top sheet that matches with the bottom sheet, especially when you’re trying to make your bed in a rush. Taking everything and stuffing it all into the proper pillowcase and having it in close proximity can easily streamline the process.
