Kids Fish for Free During Annual Children’s Fishing Rodeo

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Calling all kids who are looking to catch a big fish this weekend! You can cast your lines at the Al Sihah Shriner’s Annual Children’s Fishing Rodeo. James Piper stopped by 41 Today to tell us more about the event..

Piper said the Georgia Department of Natural Resources donated 600 pounds of catfish so there will be plenty of opportunities for the kids to catch a fish. After the fishing, the “Snake Master” will teach the kids about different kinds of snakes.

Piper added there will be prizes for the kids, including a prize for the first fish, smallest fish, largest fish, and more. He said kids will need to bring their own equipmet.

The Annual Children’s Fishing Rodeo is Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to 11 .m. at Al Sihah Shrine Park.
