KidzFit Encourages Healthy Living for Youths

KATHLEEN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A fitness center designed just for kids is promoting the importance of physical activity for young children.

Physical education teacher and owner of KidzFit, Cheryl Magerkurth said, “Kids of all fitness levels are accepted and encouraged. Students do not compete against one another but with oneself.”

KidzFit is open to children in elementary through high school. It is designed to build strength and cardio fitness as well as coordination and agility through interval training.

“Our ultimate desire is to build in each child we teach, a healthy and strong foundation for life long fitness,” added Magerkurth.
