Lake Bridge Behavioral Health System accused of abuse

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Lake Bridge Behavioral Health system in Macon is being investigated for child abuse.

According to a 41NBC news viewer, on Saturday, the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services interviewed every employee and patient about abuse claims.

Several staff members have been suspended.

DFCS would not comment on this incident.

The leadership at Lake Bridge Behavioral Health System (Lake Bridge) worked collaboratively and cooperatively with Georgia’s Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in their recent periodic site survey. Our facility management, staff and physicians were present and complied fully with the DFCS inquiries. The facility is completely operational and there has been no disruption of services to patients. Lake Bridge remains fully dedicated and committed to its mission of providing the highest quality of care to individuals with special, and sometimes complex, mental health needs.
