Lara Johnston to open for Gregg Allman in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Lara Johnston and her band are opening for Gregg Allman at the Grand Opera House in Macon this weekend.

Lara got into music at a young age, and says it’s always been her passion.

Lara is a rising pop/soul artist based in Los Angeles.

She’s the daughter of The Doobie Brothers’ lead singer, Tom Johnston.

She has honed her craft as a powerhouse vocalist opening for KISS, Heart, and Willie Nelson as well as singing backgrounds for Don Henley and Belinda Carlisle.

She is now working on her own debut album.
