Lemur calls the Museum of Arts and Sciences home

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Zuri is only four months old and she’s stolen the hearts of the staff at the Museum of Arts and Sciences.

Sharron Cornacchione, Animal Curator, said the museum got Zuri from a license animal breeder in Dublin.

A lemur’s native home is Madagascar. But, Cornacchione said Zuri’s breed of lemurs live longer in captivity.

Zuri goes home with different staff members each night because she is too small to live in her soon to be home in the mini zoo.

Cornacchione said Zuri will probably move into her new place in October.
