‘Let’s Celebrate’: Disney on Ice comes to middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Inspiring kids of all ages to dream, love, and learn is what Disney on Ice is all about; just ask Princess Tiana.

Behind the costumes and makeup, Princess Tiana, played by principal skater Soniah Spence, says, "It’s nice to be a role model."

Spence says the children feel connected to the characters she and other cast members play, which is why she’s humbled by playing the role of Tiana.

"We really pride ourselves on the fact that we really want the audience to feel apart of the show," Spence says, "There’s a lot of interaction. Actually, it’s an experience, you’re not just watching a show you’re a part of it."

It’s an experience that brings out the kid in us all.

"You’re not going to leave there without a smile on your face."

The production features celebrations from the familiar ‘very un-merry birthday party’ from Cinderella to a Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans.

There are several performances throughout the week.
