Library system invites participants to book club

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgians of all ages are encouraged to participate in the Summer Reading Club at the Twin Lakes Library System. 

Children, teens and adults are welcomed to keep track of the number books they read over the summer to receive a prize at the end of the season.

The theme this year is "Every Hero has a Story."

Magazines and videos do not count toward total items read. Two graphic novels count as one chapter book. Prizes will be awarded after July 31. All reading has to be complete by July 15 if you want to claim a prize. All participants must read at or above their reading level. Any books below reading levels do not count. 

If you don’t have a library card, you may apply for one at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library located on 151 South Jefferson Street in Milledgeville. You must show proof of identification with a current address. First-time library cards for Georgia residents are free.
