Local church celebrates 151st anniversary and homecoming

One of the oldest churches in Macon is celebrating its 151st anniversary this weekend and is having a homecoming as well.  The theme is "No Place Like Home," and the community is invited to the festivities. Thaddeus West from Bethel CME Church joined us on 41 Today with the information.

At this event will be card games and dance contests, plus Nintendo Wii games and a bounce house for kids.  Hamburgers and hot dogs will be made on the grill.  Families can get together to play Family Feud at this 

If you’d like to attend, Bethel CME Church is located at 1668 Pio Nono Ave. in Macon.  The festivities will take place on Saturday from 10am – 2pm, then a worship service at 10:45am on Sunday.
