Local hospice hosting camp to help kids cope with grief
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Heart of Georgia Hospice is taking registration for Camp Wings, a free camp designed at helping children and teens cope with grief.
Sherry Robinson is the Human Resources Manager for the hospice. She says the camp is for ages 6-16. He hopes to have about 30 participants. Camp Wings is Nov. 4-6. at Camp John Hope in Fort Valley, Georgia.
Robinson says it’s fun and educational. This year, the camp will allow the participants to interact and ride a horse.
Robinson required the camp counselors to receive training for the camp and also gave them a background check. If you’re interested, give her a call at 478-953-5161.
