Local pastor inviting community to pray for Perry and law enforcement

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After recent police shootings, Pastor James Parker Jr. couldn’t wait to step in and do something.

He is organizing prayer meetings across Perry to pray for the city and local law enforcement.

He and Alma Parker stopped by the 41NBC studio to talk about their prayer meetings. Pastor Parker says everyone in the community is invited to come out and join hands with them, because prayer is powerful.

Here’s a list of where the prayer meetings are being held this week:

Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 6 a.m. at the Perry Police Dept. and Fire Dept.

Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 6 a.m. around the courthouse downtown.

Thursday, Dec. 8 at 6 a.m. around the courthouse on Perry Pkwy.

Friday, Dec. 9 at 6 a.m. around the Georgia Highway State Patrol Office.
