‘Macon a Racket” to introduce kids, adults to the sport of tennis
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Whether you consider yourself a tennis pro or have never picked up a racket, you can learn all about the sport during the free “Macon a Racket.” John O’Shaughnessey stopped by 41 Today to tell us more about the free tennis event.
The Macon Tennis Association is hosting the event. O’Shaughnessey says it will be a fun day filled of tennis, games, food, and prizes for the entire family. There will be instruction for parents and children.
O’Shaughnessey adds that no tennis experience or racket is necessary. This is a fun way to introduce children and adults to the sport of tennis.
The free event is Saturday, September 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center located at 3280 North Ingle Place in Macon.
