Macon-Bibb Consolidated Government Officially Goes to Work
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Macon-Bibb County’s new consolidated government is officially at work. Mayor Robert Reichert stopped by 41 Today to talk about what community members can expect during the first months of consolidation.
Mayor Reichert used “busy” to describe Thursday morning. As various city and county departments continue to merge and adjust to the new changes, Reichert said the first pay day is scheduled for Friday, January 10.
He referred to the first 90 days of consolidation as the “march of chaos.”
