Macon-Bibb Health Department Shares Tips on Food Safety, Preparation

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb County Health Department’s Environmental Office has a New Year’s resolution to make the food we eat, even more safe. Donna Cadwell stopped by 41 Today to share some safety tips on those looking to serve food to the public this year.

The Macon-Bibb County Health Department aims to ensure safe preparation and storage of food at local eateries, as well as, at special events, annual celebrations, and festivals. The kick-off event is Thursday, January 16 at 10 a.m. at the Macon-Bibb County Health Department. The event will feature information on the importance of food safety for vulnerable populations, including the homeless.
