Macon Little Free Libraries to Promote Literacy and Community

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Are you looking for a good book? Then you may want to check out the new Macon Little Free Libraries. Jennifer Look stopped by 41 Today to tell us how this program is promoting literacy and building a sense of community.

The concept of a little free library is to “take a book, return a book.” Look said there will be several little free libraries set up around the College Hill Corridor with different themes. The project is funded by a Knight Neighborhood Challenge Grant. Several community partners help put the project together.

The unveiling of the first Macon Little Free Library is Thursday, April 17 at the Macon Dog Park during the Yappy Hour Celebration at 6 p.m.
