Macon Pops changing how people think of orchestras

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Pops is inviting everyone in Middle Georgia to dance through the decades at their unique orchestra event on Friday night.

Grammy-nominated drummer and Macon Pops co-founder Steve Moretti says this is no traditional orchestra.

Macon Pops plays all sorts of songs, from today’s hits like Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars to Michael Jackson. They invite attendees to drink from the four bars, eat food and dance all night, like it’s a night-club!

This year’s Macon Pops event takes place at Hawkins Arena at Mercer University on Friday night.
