Macon vegetarian restaurant celebrates grand reopening
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon’s original all vegetarian restaurant is making a comeback! Owner Gerard Andre stopped by 41 Today to tell us all about Back to Edenz.
Back to Edenz opened in Macon 10 years ago as the city’s first and only all vegetarian restaurant. It closed in 2009. Andre said he missed it and the impact his restaurant had on the community.
The name of the restaurant has changed, but Andre said his commitment to providing the best vegetarian food has not. Staples on the menu include stir fried rice, cabbage, lasagna, and much more.
Back to Edenz is hosting a reopening celebration on Thursday, August 28 from noon until 2 p.m. at its new location at 3348 Vineville Avenue. In addition to the event, a portion of the proceeds raised from sales on that day will go toward a diabetes fundraiser.
