Mercer Jazz Ensemble performs Hits of Herbie Hancock

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Mercer Jazz Ensemble performs Hits of Herbie Hancock this Friday at Mercer University. But rather than wait until then, the ensemble was able to give us a taste of what’s to come during the performance. Dr. Monty Cole, the director of the jazz ensemble, talked about the jazz arrangements they will perform. 

Jazz piano virtuoso Geoffrey Haydon of the Georgia State University faculty will join the group this Friday, November 7th, at 7:30pm at Fickling Hall at the McCorkle Music Building on Mercer’s campus. Admission is free and open to the public. Dr. Cole suggests getting there early as it’ll likely be packed!
