Mercer professor teaming with church leaders for unity prayer

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Beloved Community is holding a unity prayer to bring people together under the roof of Macon’s churches.

Professor John Dunaway and Rev. Jason McClendon were in studio to discuss how listening to church leaders is especially important with so much news happening in the world.

They are two of a larger group trying to bring people and races together.

The unity prayer is Sunday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at Bethel Baptist CME Church on Pio Nono Avenue. The community is invited to attend.
