Monument to host Annual Ocmulgee Indian Celebration

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia communities are invited to join the staff at the Ocmulgee National Monument for its annual ‘Ocmulgee Indian Celebration.’

Hundreds are expected to attend the two-day event this month. 

According to a news release, you can expect over 300 Native American people, artists, dancers, storytellers, musicians and historic lifestyle demonstrators to share their culture with the visiting public.  

The celebration is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20.  

The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for both children 6 to 12 and active duty military. Children under 6 are free.
