New Perry thrift store to help rehabilitate women
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A new store in Perry promises great finds, low prices, and it is saving lives. Jim Sharp stopped by 41 Today to tell us more about Abba House.
The Abba House is a Christian ministry that helps rehabilitate women and children. Sharp says the women that come to the ministry have a variety of backgrounds including depression, addiction, homelessness, and more. The women participate in a 15 month long program that helps build them whole again.
The Abba House is hosting its grand opening of its thrift store on Saturday, August 30th. Sharp says the store is more upscale than your typical thrift store and former participants of the program work there after graduation.
