Non-profit organization exposes girls to STEAM

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Real I.M.P.A.C.T Center, Inc. wants to show girls they have lots of options when it comes to what topics they can learn about.

It’s mission is to develop intelligent and motivated people to actively change the times through a S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and math) and literacy focus.

Geneva West joins 41NBC to talk about an upcoming conference to help push the cause.

The conference is called Girls Will Be Women in STEAM.

It’s happening April 30th from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Northeast Healthscience Magnet School in the Mark Smith Building at 1646 Upper River Road in Macon.

It costs $35.

The Parent’s Workshop starts at 1 p.m. and goes until 2:30 p.m.
