Non-profits host fundraiser to benefit aspiring college students

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Local non-profits are joining together to raise money for scholarships and service projects in middle Georgia.

The Joy Foundation and the Warner Robins Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta are hosting the 2nd Annual ‘Gentlemen with Flavor Cooking Competition.’

Men will compete to win cash prizes in hopes of raising money for scholarships and service projects for middle Georgia’s youth.

The goal is to raise over $10,000, and award ten students with $1,000 each.

Sorority member Kenitra Burnette shares details about how you can participate. There are activities for kids and adults.

If you’d like to attend, the family-friendly event will be held at Central Georgia Technical College’s Warner Robins Campus on Saturday, September 26 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
