Ocmulgee Mounds celebrates Native American heritage
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Ocmulgee Mounds Superintendent Jim David visited 41NBC Tuesday to talk about the Ocmulgee Indian Celebration.
It’s a day full of culture and fun as visitors can learn about Native American culture.
The event will feature food, games and dancing.
Oral tradition is important to the culture, so it will feature storytellers as well.
The Celebration is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The cost is 6 dollars for adults and 3 dollars for both children 6 to 12 and active duty military.
Children under 6 are free.
