Organizations hope to warm middle Georgia this season with space heater donations

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – According to a news release, Roma & Friends and The Helping Hands Ministry are asking the community to donate space heaters to needy families and elders for the winter with “Bring the Heat.”

Roma Muhammad says this event is near to her heart, because she once lived without heat during hard times before, and currently has friends in need.

The group also urges fire safety awareness and practices with the instructions and guidelines of the Macon Bibb County Fire Department. 

Also, new or gently worn shoes and clothes for needy families are welcomed to be donated as well.  

All donations are tax deductible and should be delivered to Habersham Records on 1375 Pio Nono Avenue Monday-Friday between the hours of noon and 5 p.m. by Sunday, December 20.
