Perry Players to perform for live and at home audiences

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all aspects of life in America, including live performances. With restrictions easing in Georgia, the Perry Players wanted to put on a performance for live audiences and for viewers at home.

Starting Thursday, July 2nd, the theatre company will start “Beauty After the Beast.” The show follows newly single Disney princess, Belle, as she goes on the dating show, “Lovin’ Junction.” Different men from different well-known movies and musicals try to win her over. Music from Bette Midler, Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce are featured in the show.

The Perry Players are offering limited in person performances. No more than 50 people are allowed at each show and everyone will be socially distanced. The Perry Players are also offering a streaming option if you can’t get a ticket or do not feel comfortable watching the show in the theater.

“Beauty After the Beast” runs July 2nd – 5th and July 9th – 12th. For more information on show times and to purchase tickets, visit perryplayers.org or the Perry Players Facebook page.
